ALVERDE: Organic, vegan and CF. (Product review)

I wanted to talk about my favourite beauty brand for so long and today I finally am!

I am not someone who is super into cosmetics and make-up but when it comes to Alverde, I love the brand so much that I need to talk about it.

Now, the products are cruelty-free but not all of them are vegan. I have no problem with this because I know that the more we support brands that offer vegan products the more we are making a statement that vegan products are the future.

Alverde is a brand that sells only organic products that are free from mineral oil-based ingredients, synthetic dyes, fragrances and preservatives. All Alverde products must adhere to the strict guidelines set by the International and Organic Cosmetic Association NATRUE.

The products are very affordable and the best part is that it’s not only make-up that you can buy but also shampoos, balsams, face creams, peelings and a whole lot of other things that help us take care of ourselves.

I use their foundation and brow pencil and shampoo and balsam and hair mask, and I could go on and on about everything that I have from Alverde, but I will only tell you about one.

Sorry for the shitty quality but your girl uses Lenovo so that’s the best that phone can do.

I want to talk about a face peeling with bio lime and bio apples from their line Beauty&Fruity.

My skin is very mixed and I have been struggling with keeping it clear for a decade, so I had absolutely no faith that anything could help me. You know when you try everything, from DIY face masks and peelings to buying expensive brands, and nothing works? Yeah, that’s me.

But then one day I had some time and I went to the DM store in a nearby city just to look at the products. I always go to the vegan section, but this time I saw this cute looking bottle with apples and limes on it.

Obviously, because I saw that it was from Alverde I wanted to read what it said on the back of the bottle and who it was for. It was for mixed skin and both the limes and the apples were organic – nothing surprising when it comes to Alverde.

But it wasn’t the prettiness of the bottle or the organic part that got me; it was that I trusted Alverde for many years now with their makeup products but I never tried anything from their skincare line. So I bought it.

I started using it about three months ago and it may be that drinking more water and wearing less makeup helped, but ever since I started using this product, my skin has improved. Okay, it’s not flawless and clear the way I would want it to be, but trust me when I say that this is the clearest my skin has been since I was 14.

I use it every third night after I take a shower because that way my pores are open and the tiny particles can actually work. My favourite part about it is not that its vegan and cruelty-free but that the peeling is not too harsh on the skin.

There are enough tiny particles that the dead skin is removed but not enough to make your skin red. Sometimes, if your skin is very sensitive or damaged, you can bleed or get scars and this peeling from Alverde is nothing like that. Trust me; my skin has suffered too much to make it suffer even more.

It smells sweet and fresh; it really gives you that feeling of clean skin, especially if you use it in the middle of the day in the summer after you’ve removed your makeup. The scent is just enough for you to enjoy the process of using it and to give you that fresh smell but it’s not sweet enough to attract the bees.

I would advise you to use it with cleansing water from the same line.

I was not paid to write this, maybe in the future, I will be able to work with the brand, but I really just wanted to tell you about this brand because it’s very affordable and really good for your skin – organic and natural doesn’t have to be expensive!

I hope I see you on my Instagram page, or maybe on Pinterest?
