Aren’t you tired of all these pushy vegans telling you how you should go vegan like yesterday?
It seems like every time a person shows interest in going vegan there will be a group of activists ready to throw every single piece of information on them without asking them questions first.
The very first advice you give to someone who wants to go vegan should be to find a reason why they want it.
I want you to know exactly why you are interested in this lifestyle in the first place. Only then can we move along and start learning about the steps you can make to transition to a vegan lifestyle.
It’s way too easy scaring you with too much information and facts. You can have all the information at the tip of your fingers but if the reason you want it is that someone shamed you into doing it, you will hate every second of it.
What’s your goal? What did you see that made you consider going vegan?
The best way to do go vegan is to do it at your own pace. You know, see where you are at this exact moment and slowly move towards your goal. (I even talked about it in the first episode of my podcast – listen to it here.)
That way you can figure everything out while still making progress. You just need to start taking small steps forward and learn as you go.
If you are pushing yourself and suffering due to so much pressure, you will bend and break and fail.
Imagine feeling happy and excited about the changes you are making! Imagine reading all the books and hanging out at vegan picnics and feeling so grateful that you discovered this lifestyle.
Life is so much easier when you don’t feel pressured into doing something that sounds good but the road to it is too stressful.
I believe you can enjoy going vegan because that was my experience. I loved learning about this lifestyle and discovering all the new ways to be a better human being.
