Everyone can help our planet if they choose and you being here means you are ready to upgrade your lifestyle.Â
The simple eco-friendly things I will talk about today can be done easily and with almost no big changes to your habits. Well, the habits will change but you won’t even notice if you’re ready to replace them with better ones.
There is a quote that says that if change were easy, everyone would do it. I disagree with it in a way, because sometimes change is easy but people refuse to do it anyway. I don’t understand why.
If we can turn this planet into a bright, thriving green and blue paradise with just a few tweaks, why not do it? Why do we run away from what could be a dream?
If you are different, which I already know you are, then you will love what I am about to suggest.
Here are simple eco-friendly choices you can make to help us fight pollution and climate change:
- Use fewer plastic bottles and invest in a reusable glass water bottle that cost around 10€ if not less. They can last for decades if you are careful not to shatter or break them.
- Shop for clothes in thrift stores and leave fast fashion behind. You don’t have to buy everything second-hand but every sweater you purchase doesn’t have to be straight from the sweatshop.
- Stop using so much paper and go digital in this modern age. I use Trello for all my planning, and Google for my calendar and documents.
- Grow your own food, even if you live in an apartment. Tomatoes, strawberries and salad can be grown anywhere and what is better than eating the food you took care of yourself? The best part is also all the money you will save from not having to go to the store that often.
How many are you willing to do in the next couple of days? Commit to at least one and let me know down in the comment section which one you chose.
What inspires me personally to continue being environmentally conscious is knowing I am not alone in this. There are millions who wish for the same thing. Millions of individuals are equally as passionate about environmentalism as I am.
I am not alone and neither are you.
