You woke up. You saw the light. You went vegan. Great. But what now?

What do you do after going vegan? Are there rules to follow? Of course, not, but I do believe there are things you can do to avoid going back to eating non-human animals.

That is why I want to share some of my best tips and advice. To help you create a sustainable lifestyle that you love and adore.

To stay plant-based long-term you need a plan that you will gladly follow without resentment and overwhelm. I got your back.

Here are 3 things to do after going vegan:

  • Find a way to speak up for animal rights.

Not only will you be doing a good job of giving back, but you will have a reminder of why you are vegan.

When you speak up for the most innocent, you are reminded of what happens behind closed doors to them. Find a way to do the work that makes you feel comfortable but also confident.

Perhaps you can start a blog, volunteer with vegan organizations, or share recipes on social media. I have a whole blog post with many ideas here that you can read.

Tell people what is happening to non-human animals. Help us change the world for the better. Now, more than ever, we need your voice and gifts.

  • Connect with like-minded individuals.

Find vegan friends who will support you on your journey. Only they know what you are going through, so you can always reach out to them for tips and advice.

Find them in real life or online. Attend vegan events, volunteer, or search Instagram and other social media platforms. You can even follow me and DM me with all your questions. Or you can just say hello.

Having a group of people whom you can rely on for a hand or a shoulder, will make your life easier. We all want our own tribe, and the beautiful thing is that we can build one anytime.

  • Take care of your health.

Health is wealth or something like that. It is the truth, though.

If we are sick and unable to live our lives normally, we cannot be of service to others. And being of service to others makes the world spin and gives us a reason to get up in the morning.

Do the basics: Move your body, get vaccinated, eat even more plants, meditate and have a good community of people around you.

Then do even more: Take supplements, create a job you love, and start giving back in a way that is unique to you.

When you are healthy, you can do anything.
