I love listening to women-led podcasts because they feel different.Â
Something about the way a woman explains things and tells a story resonates with me more than if I listen to a man.Â
Not in an I’m-a-feminist-I-hate-men type of way. It’s just that women have that special thing when talking about a topic, while men tend to rush and be harsh and hardcore. I know this is a generalization, but this is my experience when listening to podcasts.
I might be just unlucky, but that is not the point of what I’m saying.
The point is, there are so many women-led podcasts that you don’t know about and we must change that. Women supporting women is one of the greatest things I have learnt as an adult, and I want to infect you with this mantra as well.
No one will save us but ourselves. No one else will support us but each other. The fact is, women are still not equal. And that enough should be the reason to focus on how we can uplift others and support their work.
So here are some of my favourite women-led podcasts you must listen to:
- Food For Thought (animal rights, environmentalism).
- DBT and Me (mental health).
- Some Place Under Neith (true crime).
- Money Rehab (finance).
- The Influencer Podcast (business).
- Online Marketing Made Easy (business).
- The Dropout (business, true crime).
- Wellness: Fact vs Fiction (health).
Make sure to subscribe to all of them on a podcast app of your choice. There are so many, but I personally use Spotify and PodcastGuru.
I hope you get to learn something valuable from listening to these beautiful ladies. I deliberately chose different niches these podcasts are in so you get a variety to choose from. From finance to mental health and true crime… you have it all.
After reading the book Girl Code, I wanted to write something to support my fellow women. And what’s a better post than one about podcasts which are one of my favourite things to listen to.Â
My intention is always to provide value, and hopefully, you received it. And don’t just say you will do something but go and follow these women-led podcasts.Â
